We have four successful senior teams in the Saracen Herts League in Divisions 3, 8, 10 and 13 a flourishing colts membership some sixty strong and a Sunday squad playing friendly matches. We encourage all abilities, ages and gender – and pride ourselves in offering first-class training and coaching facilities at a ground that is the envy of many.

For youngsters wishing to embark upon their cricketing career, there is no better club than Shenley to offer the best possible start with opportunities to progress further. We have a youth promotion initiative called Safe Hands where we are working towards a Sport England accreditation called ClubMark for offering excellence in colt cricket training and care. Add to that, dedicated level 2 youth coaches, a colt manager and a youth welfare officer and you can see why our younger membership is growing apace. After all, it pays to look after the stars of tomorrow!

As for the more seasoned pros, we welcome all adults to join our open and inclusive club which offers the chance to net both indoors during winter at the brand new indoor facility at Hatfield Sports Village - and in spring outside at the Shenley Cricket Centre which has its grand Pavilion adjacent to the main Denis Compton Ground. Within the Pavilion, there is a fully stocked bar, immaculate changing/shower/toilet as well as conference facilities along with adequate car parking.

We also realise that there is much more to a cricket club than just playing the game. That’s why we have a well organised committee who seek to provide an enjoyable family atmosphere throughout the year by organising all manner of social events such as Race and Curry Nights, Discos, Barbecues and other themed evenings where members, their families and children can relax in the wonderful balmy summer nights at Shenley.
