Tesco Bags of Help Scheme - a Final Reminder

21 Aug 2018

Hello All,

A FINALREMINDER: There are just 10 days remaining in the Tesco Bags of Help scheme. The cut-off date is 31st of August.

 We have seen a good response so far but need a final push to improve our chances of winning the £4000 top award. Any funds we receive will be put towards improving the wickets and outfield at Shenley, and judging by the token collection points at Tesco Radlett and Shenley it will be a close contest between the 3 local causes.

This email is to urge you and your friends and family to collect blue tokens from Tesco to help support Shenley Village Cricket Club, and to give you a few suggestions;

  • You can collect blue tokens from any Tesco shop, but you need to put them into a plastic collection box at a local branch (either Shenley or Radlett)by no later than 31st of August.
  • Alternatively, you could deposit blue tokens in the upper bar in the Shenley clubhouse, or give them to a Club official.
  • You need to ask for the blue tokens at the Tesco till as the cashiers do not offer them. At Radlett branch I’ve noticed tokens are sometimes left in a small bowl by the self-service tills.
  • The Tesco petrol stations do not stock the blue tokens, but you can take your petrol receipts into the stores and ask at Customer Services for tokens.

We are one of three local causes in the July/August programme. The cause with the highest number of blue tokens at the end of August gets £4k, 2nd place gets £2k, and 3rd place gets £1k so it will make a big difference to our Club if we can mobilise support from our whole network.

Thanks for your support
