Massive thanks to club statistician Dave Stubbs who has been burning the midnight oil recently to produce up to date club averages and performance data for SVCC going back to 1996. Using various sources of information Dave has pulled together all the scoresheets for the past 22 years and has produced an impressive array of information so each of us can see our contributions over this period. The data is taken from HitsCricket (2005 to present), Cricket Statz (2000-2004) and early files for 1996 to 1999.
If you visit the club website click on the ‘SVCC averages’ tab on the left hand side of the home page and then on the first option ‘Overall Averages’. This will give you the ‘Average Stats for 1996 to 2018 inclusive’. On this page you will see a number of additional links which will enable you to drill down to get much more information. Please note that for some old versions of Microsoft Excel the search facilities may not work.
Did you know that the club has played 23229 matches since 1996? Or did you know that we have had 133 centuries scored during this period and 1020 half centuries? All these fascinating facts and much more are there for you to discover. Have fun searching for your own performances and see how you compare with others. Are you close to a personal milestone that you could achieve next season?
If you spot any anomalies let me know and we shall see if they can be corrected / verified. The information is only as good as the data that is input and it’s possible some games may be missing or some details incorrectly recorded.
