Old Elizabethans II v Shenley Village C C Third XI on Sat 02 Jun 2007 at 1.30 pm
Match was Drawn 2 Points
A difficult game where bowling was difficult to contain a steady stream of runs on a reasonably large fast outfield. The opposition declared on 51 overs and winning the toss SVCC had no points.
In reply a steady start saw a mini collapse at 57 for 5. Although the run rate increased by the over Burkardt and Houghton stayed to add a valuable 51 partnership before it was broken but importantly it set up a chance of some valuable points.
At the end it was a case of holding on for the draw after a cameo 24 from Elliott. For three overs Frank at number 10 and Ross at no 11 held on for the draw.
