SHENLEY VILLAGE WIN BY 109 RUNS.
Hemel Hemstead won toss and elected to field on a clear evening , in contrast to a rain interrupted day that threatened to cancel the game.
Shenley posted a massive 164/4 with some very impressive and powerful batting displays by Charlie Thurston including 6-4s(32 retired);Mayowa Balogun (30 retired). An explosive display again from Jacob Haftel including 5-4s and a massive six (34 retired). Solid contribution from Ollie Marshall (21 not out).
Shenley raced to 85 without loss after 11 overs with a breakthrough coming in the 12th over with some tidy bowling by Tom Mills taking two quick wickets (finished with impressive 2 wickets for 3 runs off 2 overs).
HH started well reaching 19 runs before the first wicket fell. Another double wicket maiden over by young debutant Ian Harris finishing with 3 wickets for 2 runs off 3 overs. Excellent debut performance by Jack Myers finishing with a maiden wicket over (3overs 1- 1).Impressive all round fielding and some tight bowling restricted the visitors to 55/8 at close of play.
