Shenley's 2008 league season began with the Under 10's playing at local rivals Radlett, whose squad had been Runner's-Up in the 2007 County Final. A tight and low-scoring match was edged by the Shenley boys, whose approach to the game was very focused. The bowling and (most of) the fielding was admirable and the boys supported each other throughout Radlett's innings, with a wicket each for James, Ashil & Alex. Shenley's reply was steady as the required runs were accumulated, Ronan top-scoring with 7, although a last over run-out ensured the spectators' interest was maintained. As players & parents left Radlett the heavens opened to remind us all that the cricket season is now with us!
Well done to all the boys - a great start to the 2008 campaign.
