A sunny evening saw two good sides play the game in very good spirit. Shenley Village batted first and posted 270-4, Reuben top scoring with 23 thanks to five well struck 4's. Hamza and Jordan also chipped in with decent scores (10 & 8 respectively). A number of wides from the Abbots Langley bowlers helped Shenley Village post a challenging total.
In reply Abbots Langley made a slow start, but the innings gathered some pace with Thomas (who scored 9) and in particular the final pairing of Chris and Harry, who together put on 18. The Shenley boys held on to 3 good catches to peg back the scoring, with the innings closing on 227.
A good game was enjoyed by all - well done to both sets of players.
