A solid all-round display by the Shenley boys saw off an eager Berkhamsted side, who had batted first and after a good start unfortunately lost steady wickets thanks to tight Shenley fielding and well-disciplined bowling, making 235 for 5.
In reply, the Shenley partnerships worked well together and with some aggressive running they reached a comfortable winning total of 278 for 4.
A special mention to Berkhamsted's wicket-keeper, Ted, who put in a magnificent performance behind the stumps and took 2 stunning nicked catches off some fine fast bowling - an absolute natural.
