Abbots Langley v Shenley Village C C U13 Group 3 on Mon 12 May 2008 at 6.00 pm
Shenley Village C C Lost by 5 wkts
After losing the toss Abotts Langley sent Shenley in to bat on a very grassy and bouncy wicket. Both openers did exceptional well, but in particular Will Holland who top scored with 34 n.o, which guided Shenley to a defendable total of 79 off 20 overs. In the second innings Abbots Langley came out firing, scoring 31 off 3 overs. With a brilliant start like that, it was always going to be hard for the Shenley boys. Abbotts Langley went on to pass Shenley score in the 15th over, with the loss of only 5 wickets.
There was some top bowling from Sam Schusman who delivered 4 overs 1 wicket for 10 runs. Along with Ben Bradley who delivered 3 overs 1 wicket for 12 runs. Another great performance was from Micheal Andrews who took two very good catches at mid-off. After 3 games the team is starting to play much better cricket, and results should come their way very shortly.
