Shenley U12 XI's on FIRE!!!

15 Jul 2016

Quick note to congratulate and to look for support for BOTH SVCC's Under 12 XI's they having made their respective County Cup Final Days this Sunday, July 17th.

This is the FOURTH successive Finals Day this current group of boys have made  - having won it once as U10's, runners-up once, as U9's and beaten semi-finalists last year as U11's. The boys play Redbourn in this year's semi at Tring Park CC at 12:30pm this Sunday, with the Final, (or 3rd/4th place play-off), scheduled to start at 4pm.

As if to prove how strong a group our Club has at this age group, our U12B's, under the guidance of Jon Tobias have also made the B-League Finals Day, this being played at Radlett. Their semi-final is also scheduled to start around 12:30pm. This is a particularly amazing effort as more often than not, the A team have taken the pick of all the players, in addition to which our County and Area players are not allowed to play in this League.

I know the First XI are playing a home cup game Sunday, but it would be really great for the boys if some of you could try to make it to one or other venue at some stage during the day. Remember, all these boys are eligible to pay senior cricket from this September 1st!

I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Kris Nissen and Graham Seymour for all their coaching over the last couple of years, as well as Marc Werter, Darren Poynton and Frank Orchard - managers of the U12A's and Jon Tobias, manager of the U12B's.
