We have a number of midweek games coming up at Shenley and would welcome your support:
Tuesday July 4th - we have a friendly game arranged against a touring team from Mumbai. This will be 40 overs per side starting at 1pm. The team from Mumbai comprise mainly businessman who are over here for a short stay to play a couple of matches and take in the Lords test match. There will also be an important Under 13 game vs Radlett on the Nursery Ground, starting at 6pm, so if you can't make it during the day pop in on your way back from work to enjoy some cricket.
Wednesday July 12th - we have arranged a game against Taranaki Wanderers, a touring side from New Zealand. This is the side Tom Bruce played for and previously coached by Dion Ebrahim. Their side will be comprised of mainly 17 and 18 year olds and we expect them to provide strong opposition. We will be looking to put out a young side with the nucleus of our under 19 squad supplemented by a few strong senior players. Game starts at 1pm.
Wednesday August 16th - we have our traditional biennial match vs the MCC. This is an all day game starting at 11.30am. These are always close and hard fought games and we hope to put out a strong side on the day.
All the above games will be held on the Main Ground at Shenley and the bar will be open all day. If you're able to pop down and support your club it will be great to see you.
