Shenly's U13's make it to the ECB National Club Championship Finals

04 Aug 2017

Having won our, (Hertfordshire), County Championship, then beating Suffolk's County Champions, (Mildenhall), Shenley U13's yesterday won the London and South East Regional Finals, beating Royal Ascot, (who represented Berkshire), and Eastcote, (Middlesex) along the way. Each of those sides had also beaten champions from other counties in the south-east of England.

We now head off to the National Finals, (first ever club side from Hertfordshire to get this far), which are being played at Rugby School in Warwickshire from 10:30am on Tuesday, August 15th, with the final is also being played that afternoon. We will be joined by the three other regional winners, who this year are from Gloucestershire, (Trimbledon CC),  Derbyshire, (Denby CC), and Bedfordshire, (Bedford CC). The draw will be made on the Monday evening at Rugby School. The ECB are putting us up on the Monday night, supplying coloured clothing, (which the boys get to keep), and we were advised this morning that Sky will be doing a piece on the National Club Championship which will be shown during the first England / West Indies test being played at Edgbaston from August 17th!!
