First XI promoted to SHL Div 2
08 Sep 2009
Jemile Al-Darraji's first team finished the season as divisional champions after the side romped to their fourth consecutive win last Saturday (5th Sept).
Wendell Roberts has lead the way with a new Division three record of 72 wickets but it wasn't just a one man show with four batsmen (Morgan Stanley, Rob Laney, Anooj Vagdama & Jemile) scoring more than 300 runs and two bowlers (Jemile & Rifkhan Hameed)adding a further 50 wickets.
The club will receive the champions trophy at a presentation at Wembley Stadium and we will further celebrate their wonderful achievement at the end of season dinner dance at Porters Park on 10th October.
