Present:, Ray McLennan (Chair), Warren Seeley (Temp Sec), Matt Woodward, Jemile al Darraji, Steve Scott & Gill Sheldon
Apologies:, Jon Clark, Chris Stanley, Bob Voyce James Davenall, Rahul Gajjar, Geoff Evans, Richard Evans & Danni Manzi
1 Minutes of previous meeting (June) agreed. However there is a need to review minutes from previous meetings and check that all the actions have been completed.
ACTION: Bob to review previous minutes and draw up list of open actions for next meeting.

2 Finance update given by Matt’s absence see separate email for full details. There were 3 main point of interest.
• Matt has received little or no money from the First team so far this season.
ACTION: Rahul to liaise with Matt before next meeting to get finances up to date.
• Matt has requested that all skippers get their money to him promptly after games & for club kit as there are still a large number of non payments.
ACTION: All skippers to chase up.
• The cost of hiring Rowley Lane includes the use of the bar after games. If the bar is not available then a discount is given. ACTION: Jon & Warren to notify Matt when bar is and isn’t available by writing on the “Match Day” money form.

3 Colts Presentation night provisional booked for Tuesday 26th August @ Shenley start 7:30 pending the availability of the bar.
ACTION: Colts committee to advise/confirm at next meeting

4 Seniors Presentation Night booked at Porters Park Golf Course, Saturday 18th October starting @ 6:30. Tickets are on sale £30/head and are available from Matt or Jon. Due to limit of 100 places the initial allocation of tickets will be to members and partners, and colts parents first. This will be reviewed based on sales.

5 Colts Report by Jemile.
• U9, U10, U11 & U12 all doing extremely well in their leagues and we expect 3 should make the finals on 27th July. A large number of these colts are in the county system.
• U13, U14 & U15 have struggled for wins due to a lack of players but many have already moved up to senior cricket.
• There continues to be a big turn out every Sunday & Tuesday for training.

6 Media Report.
• Several match reports have made it into the Borehamwood Times and Herts Advertiser. These have predominantly been for the colts or first team.
• Thanks go to Belinda Harris and Gill Sheldon who have linked up to 40 Herts based websites to our site to make it appear in more search results, and to give us greater visibility etc.
• General discussion about the poor state of our website.
ACTION: All to look at current site and other clubs sites to make suggestions on improvements with the plan to launch a new site around November 08. Play cricket is the ECB alternative found at
http://www.play-cricket.com/home/home.asp
ACTION: Agenda item for next meeting to review feedback on website etc.

7 The Herts Sport network is advertising a number of course that may be useful and of interest to members of the committee.
ACTION: Ray to circulate list of courses.

8 Senior Playing Matters.
• Scotty mentioned that a concern had been raised by some of the first team players why “the fielder” was being used to fill the 11th man slot in the 1’s. It was agreed that this was a playing matter and should be dealt with by the skippers. Selection to be taken off line.
ACTION: Scotty and Rahul to handle.

9 September 6-a-side.
• Following the poor organisation of the June 6-a-side it was agreed that the tournament on 21st September needed to be discussed in detail at the next meeting. This should include 1-2 volunteers to co-ordinate the whole thing, what format should it take, i.e. invitational, colts & seniors, inter club etc.
ACTION: Bob to add this as an agenda item for the next meeting

Next meeting Tuesday 5th August 8:00 @ Cricket Centre.
