Shenley Village Junior Programme
Club cricket is back! The ECB have released their latest guidance for recreational cricket. This allows for groups of up to 6 to practice together (5 plus one coach) but not for the playing of matches. Whilst this guidance might change we are determined to press ahead and get the cricket season underway.
Shenley will be running a bespoke 12-week 5:1 summer programme. We will allow for up to 2 rained off sessions. Should restrictions relax we will maintain the coaching ratio! The programme costs £120. Training begins on Sunday the 21stof June.
All activity will strictly adhere to the advice and guidance from the ECB and UK GOV. The safety of members is a priority at SVCC.
We are one of the first clubs to return to cricket. Many clubs have considered the return too difficult or have less ambitious programmes in mind. The logistics are considerable and we will need your help to make it happen. Please submit your request for a booking by THIS WEEKEND. Later requests, particularly those made after Friday the 19th of June are unlikely to be successful.

U7: Sun 9.30am or Tues 4.30pm
U8: Sun 9.30am or Tues 4.30pm
U9: Sun 10.30am or Thurs 4.30pm
U10: Sun 10.30am or Thurs 4.30pm
U11: Sun 11.30am or Tues 5.30pm
U12: Sun 12.30pm or Tues 5.30pm
U13: Wed 5.30pm or Wed 7.30pm
U14: Sun 12.30pm or Wed 6.30pm
U15/16B: Thurs 5.30pm or Wed 6.30pm
Sessions are an hour each and include the mandatory 10 min changeover. Whilst session times are shorter than normal training - volume is considerably higher (when coach + assistant ratios are factored in).
Members will be allocated a set training time each week.
Registration
Request a booking by emailing svcc_jnrs@fastmail.co.uk the following details:
1. Members name: First and last name of cricketer.
2. Squad: U10, U14, U8 etc. If you are unsure, provide the school year. Year 5, Year 9, Year 3 etc.
3. Session preference: Refer to the timetable above. We would like to know your preference. If you 100% cannot make one of the two sessions please make note of this and we will trust that you have done your best to be as flexible.
Please register by this weekend, Sunday 14th June. We will confirm your session time as soon as we can. Your child will not be able to attend a session without a confirmed booking. Requests for a booking made after Friday the 19th June are unlikely to be successful.

To finalise your booking you will need to make the payment before your child’s first session. Regular membership fees will not be charged this year. Should ECB/Government restrictions tighten and we are unable to complete the programme then we will provide pro-rata refunds.

* If you would like to invite a friend to join the club, now is the best time to do so.
* Members are welcome to train twice a week. You will need to pay for two sessions.
* Detailed training, arrival and departure safety procedures will be communicated to members before training commences.
