Autumn Nets
We’ve had a good response to our first season of club Autumn nets. More than half of our U11-U15 juniors signed up. They will hit the ground running come winter nets in January. The extra term of cricket will make a big difference to match form and enjoyment of the game in 2020.
Member buy in drives club development. Running an Autumn programme secures our off season venues and gives us the confidence to expand. Many BIG thanks to the members who made it happen. Your attendance determines the quality of training and is a much valued contribution to the club. Thank You!!
Winter Nets
Winter nets begin on January 11th (Aldenham - Saturday) and 12th (Beaumont - Sunday) and run for 12 weeks. There will be a break for half term on the 15th/ 16th Feb. Nets conclude on the 4th/5th of April.
Junior winter nets are £100 for the term (12 sessions) when paid before Sunday the 5th of January and £120 thereafter.

As always, Shenley boasts a “Net Zero” policy on indoor training. 100% of fees collected will be spent on factors that determine off-season training quality and membership experience (such as venue space and time, coach number and quality, equipment and a member friendly term price).
We are proud to buck the trend of clubs that fund summer costs and other club operations by leaning on junior section programme quality. To maintain these standards we will need your buy in.
How you can help!
- Make payment early (This week/before Christmas). Early payments assist with planning and paying for the venue in advance.
- Prioritise the Shenley winter programme. It is warmly expected that junior members wishing to play for the club in spring will attend winter nets. The cricket season begins in January!
- Recruit new members. Possibly the best way to support your club. Now is the time to do so. We have a winter programme for 6-16 year olds. Spread the word and pass on the Shenley junior section email address svcc_jnrs@fastmail.co.uk as a point of contact for more information.
- Sign up to private sessions. Winter is the best time for 1:1s. The venues and available coaches are excellent and the combination is a special opportunity.
