Covid 19 - Message regarding use of nets at Shenley

17 May 2020

Following advice from the Government the ECB (English Cricket Board) have issued their own guidance to players and clubs on the use of outdoor cricket facilities in lockdown. If you are hoping to use the nets soon then please read the guidance carefully (link below)

https://resources.ecb.co.uk/ecb/document/2020/05/15/9fd6d8b4-cde2-4bf7-9cec-695f7d5a18ee/ECB_guidelines_return_to_activity_in_a_cricket_club_setting.pdf

Our aim is to try and reopen the nets as soon as possible but there a number of steps we as a club need to take first to satisfy the guidelines and make the nets a safe place to practice. The guidelines are quite restrictive and will require the cooperation of all members to make them workable. We will not be permitted to open the nets or keep them open if we are unable to meet public health guidelines so we will all have to play our part.

A further communication will be issued in the next few days but in the meantime please do not use the nets.

Thanks and stay safe.
