COVID19 - FURTHER MESSAGE REGARDING USE OF NETS AT SHENLEY

We are pleased to announce that due to recent changes in Government Covid19 guidelines and advice from the ECB with effect from Saturday 23rd of May we are opening up the nets at Shenley subject to users following the rules below: To comply with Government and ECB regulations it is necessary that the terms of usage are strict and it is essential that the rules are closely followed to protect the health and well-being of our members. If we feel that the health, social distancing and hygiene guidelines are not being met then unfortunately the nets will have to be closed.

CLUB RULES
  • Only members (including parents of junior members) can use the nets.
  • Only 2 members can use the net at the same time. The only exception is where 3 or more members are all from the same household.
  • ALL SESSIONS MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE. Bookings will be allowed up to one week in advance. For short notice bookings you should allow up to 3 hours to receive a response to your booking request. (See below for further details of how to book).
  • The nets will be open each day from 11am to 8pm in blocks of 50 minutes. Each session will start on the hour and you can book 1 session (50 minutes) or 2 consecutive sessions (1 hour and 50 minutes). The last booking slot is 7pm to enable the nets to close at 8pm.
  • You must ensure there is a one lane gap in the nets between you and other users.
  • The clubhouse will be closed and there will be no toilet or first aid facilities.
  • The car park will be closed. You can park outside at your own risk.
  • Spectators are not allowed unless they are a parent of a junior member using the nets.
  • Social distancing to apply at all times where members are from different households.
  • Members are to take away any rubbish from the site at the end of their session.

These rules will be regularly reviewed to assess their effectiveness and may be amended depending on feedback received, level of demand or any changes to Government or ECB policy.

ECB RULES RELATING TO COVID19

Please read the following User Checklist carefully.  When making your booking you will need to agree that you have read, understood and will abide by these rules:

DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU OR ANYONE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD DISPLAYS SYMPTOMS OR YOUR HOUSEHOLD IS CURRENTLY IN ISOLATION.

USER CHECKLIST

Personal hygiene measures should be carried out at home before and after use of the facility.

•Bring your own hand sanitiser where possible. If this isn’t possible wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before and after visiting the club.

•Travel together as a household.

•Avoid public transport.

•Try not to arrive too early, aim to arrive at the start of your slot to help with social distancing.

•Bring your own playing/training equipment including balls. Do not share balls when bowling unless you are from the same household.

•Bring your own filled drinking bottles.

•Avoid touching as much as possible whilst on club premises and use cleaning stations whenever available.

•Do not overstay your allocated time slot. You should be clear of the area by the time the next users arrive. Do not stay to socialise.

•If bowling machines are used, please ensure they are cleaned thoroughly between uses with dry-cleaning products and that all balls used are cleaned with disinfectant. This is the responsibility of the bowling machine operator.

•Do not leave private property behind.

•No spitting. No saliva or sweat should come into contact with the ball at any time.

•Please ensure you minimise the risk of injury (wear helmets, pads etc).

•Report any infection of your household following use of the facility to allow effective contact tracing and to limit the spread of the virus.

WHEN BOOKING YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

  • Names of all persons using the net and to advise if any of the persons are under 18 or 70 or over.
  • Contact number and email address of person making the booking.
  • Date and time slot(s) required.
  • Confirmation that you have read, understood and will agree to abide by the Club Rules and User Checklist instructions.

If you make a booking and then subsequently wish to cancel please advise George as soon as you can.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation. We appreciate some of these rules are restrictive but am sure you will all appreciate that they are necessary during these exceptional times. We are relying on everyone playing their part to protect the health of their fellow members.
