We are pleased to announce that SVCC have signed an overseas player for the 2026 season.
Seamus Meaker is a First-Grade player representing Sydney Cricket Club in the NSW Premier Cricket competition. A top order left-handed batsman, who likes to hit straight and has produced strong performances against high-quality opposition.
Last season he amassed 680 runs, averaging 38, with a top score against Manly Warringah of 115. Halfway through the current Australian season he has already scored 339 runs including another century.
Having begun playing cricket at the age of eight, Seamus progressed through school cricket at St Patrick’s College Strathfield, where he developed a strong base for senior cricket. He brings valuable experience and is super excited for what will be his first season playing in the UK.
Seamus, alongside playing for our 1st XI, will get involved with Junior and Adult coaching and share his skills, ideas and experience of top flight cricket.
The Club is very grateful to Ray McLennan and Jan Stanley for covering travel and accommodation costs.
